Joann’s Fine Foods is the hotel restaurant attached to the Austin Motel. The restaurant concept was inspired by California diners and Austin’s take on Mexican fare. The design team renovated the existing restaurant and patio space as well as courtyard and pool bar areas. Design features include Heath tile, laminate countertops, quilted stainless paneling, diner-style booths and stools, and Modernica chairs. Walls are flanked with framed and signed portraits of famous Texans and Joann Lambert, the restaurant’s namesake and Liz Lambert’s mom.
